One of the most important steps we take in forward walking is learning why and how to forgive each other. Forgiveness relieves our souls from the cancerous burdens that are associated with hating another person. Dr. Sidney Simon said it this way:
“Forgiveness is freeing up and putting to better use the energy once consumed by holding grudges, harboring resentments, and nursing unhealed wounds. It is rediscovering the strengths we always had and relocating our limitless capacity to understand and accept other people and ourselves.”
I know of no other video that illustrates the simple beauty of forgiveness than this little video clip from America’s Funniest Home Videos.
In it, an older sister takes a slice of pizza from her littler sister (“baby”), what the two of them do to make up for this mistake is a lesson for all of us.
