I’d always thought that to be blessed by the hand of the Creator in life was an effortless thing. Being blessed was being given a gift that I didn’t have to work for. Being blessed was to be handed what I needed in the moment I needed it. And I couldn’t have been more wrong…
Receiving the goodness of life that our Creator would hand us requires action on our part. In recent weeks the Creator has been teaching me much of the nature of receiving. I know that our Creator seeks to bless us. All we have to do is ask in faith and trust in Him as we move forward in action.
“Whatever you ardently desire, sincerely believe, and enthusiastically act upon, will inevitably come to pass.” – Paul J. Meyer –
No one had ever told me that I had to learn how to receive. I thought receiving was as natural as giving. No one ever mentioned that receiving the blessings that the Creator has prepared for us takes work. It was a belief I held for far too long.
This past week I was taught several things that have aided me in my journey and I share them now in the hopes that they will aid you in yours…
- Receiving what the Creator has in store for us takes work on our part.
- The blessings in store for us will come disguised in the form of opportunities.
- We need to take action in the opportunities before us and not wait hoping for some distant opportunity yet to come. Take advantage of the opportunities before you. As you take advantage of them new opportunities will arise.
- There is a time limit attached to all opportunities, and thus the blessings attached to them.
- If we pass on the opportunities presented us we also pass on their inherent blessings.
Whether the opportunities of our lives requires us to graciously accept a gift from another, go out of our way to help someone else, work hard in the opportunities before us, or risk everything and step out into the darkness of unknown in faith, we must take action. Every blessing we seek will come disguised as an opportunity.
May you be blessed as you learn how to receive in your life. Open your heart, serve others, and work hard. If you do so you will see the hand of the Creator in your life. That I can promise you…
